The article examines the Australian government policy towards the music industry, which is implemented within the framework of the Revive program. Given that the music industry is one of the leading sectors of the country’s cultural economy, it occupies a central place in the structure of the program. The aim of the study is to examine the government policy towards the Australian music industry within the framework of the Revive program. The author substantiates the importance of the music industry among all cultural industries in Australia and the importance of its support in the post-COVID period. The study pays special attention to the analysis of mechanisms for state support for the music sector, among which live music occupies a key place as one of the most affected areas during the COVID-19 pandemic. Institutional innovations are described, in particular the creation of Music Australia – a specialized body responsible for coordinating efforts in the field of contemporary music. The main financial instruments of the Revive program are considered, including the Revive Live sub-program, which provides grants to support concert venues and music festivals, as well as export-oriented grant programs that contribute to the international promotion of Australian performers. Specific examples of grant programs implemented within Revive are given. The state’s desire to ensure equal access to cultural products for citizens, support inclusion, attract private investment and activate local economies through cultural decentralization are noted. The experience of Australia is considered as an example of exemplary public policy in the field of cultural industries, which combines cultural value, economic feasibility and a strategic approach to shaping the image of the country. Based on the studied material, recommendations are proposed for Ukraine to create its own long-term strategy for supporting the music industry.
