STRATEGIES FOR ENSURING ECONOMIC SECURITY IN THE CONTEXT OF INSTABILITY IN THE CONTEXT OF STIMULATING ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT

Abstract

This paper examines the conceptual framework for ensuring and improving the level of economic security in the context of stimulating entrepreneurship. In the context of global instability, economic security is the foundation for stable functioning and an extremely important component for stimulating entrepreneurship. A significant number of internal and external threats and dangers that affect the efficiency of doing business in conditions of risk and instability require a systematic and comprehensive approach to assessing, ensuring and improving the level of economic security of entrepreneurship. In accordance with the above, the purpose of this study is to substantiate the types of strategies for ensuring and improving the level of economic security in conditions of instability in the context of stimulating entrepreneurship development.On the basis of generalization of domestic and foreign directions of theoretical research on the essence of economic security, it is established that this definition is a multicomponent system consisting of numerous indicators with different measurement bases. The set of indicators that affect the level of economic security of entrepreneurship systematically characterizes the level of financial stability of a business entity, the efficiency of resource management and business processes, profitability, economic resilience to external and internal threats, as well as the ability of a business entity to neutralize the risks associated with dynamic changes and uncertainty in an unstable environment.The results of the survey on the situation of Ukrainian business in the conditions of war after the full-scale invasion of the russian federation into the territory of Ukraine are systematized. It has been established that even during the war, Ukrainian business is gradually adapting to new realities. Domestic entrepreneurs are transforming, modernizing, and looking for new opportunities under martial law. In Ukraine, small and medium-sized businesses are returning to work, but recovering more slowly than large businesses.Based on the results of the carried out theoretical and methodological research, it is proposed to distinguish seven strategies for ensuring economic security of entrepreneurship, depending on five possible levels of economic security.The results of the study can be used by Ukrainian entrepreneurs in the process of forming and choosing a strategy for ensuring and improving the level of economic security.
