ANALYSIS OF THE CURRENT STATE OF ENTERPRISES IN THE CONFECTIONERY INDUSTRY OF UKRAINE AND WAYS TO INCREASE THE ECONOMIC EFFICIENCY OF PRODUCTION WITH THE IMPLEMENTATION OF INNOVATIONS

Abstract

This article is devoted to the analysis of the state of the confectionery industry of Ukraine and ways to improve the efficiency of the enterprises of this industry. Studying the issue of increasing the economic efficiency of the confectionery industry’s operations, there was a need to develop ways to increase the economic efficiency of the confectionery industry’s production, which would successfully solve the economic problems in the food industry. The introduction of innovations is especially relevant at the moment for companies in the food industry, in particular the confectionery market, because this is the most promising industry of Ukraine, which produces promising products that can successfully enter international markets in order to take stable competitive positions. The economic efficiency of the confectionery industry of Ukraine is analyzed through the current state of industry development. Ukraine is characterized by a fairly developed confectionery industry. In order to assess and develop production trends, the confectionery market was analyzed by segment, the dynamics of confectionery production was studied, the countries that import and export confectionery products were determined, data on the active enterprises of the industry were systematized, and the volume of foreign investments in the confectionery industry of Ukraine was determined. The following methods were used to analyze the current state of enterprises in the confectionery industry: static analysis – used for studying, gathering, verifying, evaluating and interpreting factual data regarding the results of economic activity of enterprises; theoretical generalization and comparison – was used with the aim of clarifying technical concepts with the problem of identifying the facts of the formation of the competitiveness system and analyzing the external and internal environments; taxonomy method – for the analysis of general indicators of the market position of enterprises and their own reserves during the analysis of the competitiveness among existing competitors. Therefore, after analyzing the current state of production, we believe that the use of innovations should become a powerful tool on the way to increasing the economic efficiency of production in the confectionery industry of Ukraine.
