Abstract

Cosmetic emulsion creams have become a part of everyday life needs of every family. Due to the desire to have moisturized, silky skin and delay the appearance of wrinkles, the demand for creams grows every year. There is a rapid improvement of technologies, components, the variety of ingredients is becoming wider. Emulsion creams are a homogeneous mixture of two main phases: aqueous and fat type, water-oil, oil-water or mixed type, which may contain biologically active additives (vitamins, infusions and extracts of plant raw materials, etc.). Taking into account the anatomical and physiological features of the skin in various areas, which determine the need for intensive cosmetic exposure and, accordingly, the requirements for the composition, dermatological, cosmetic, consumer characteristics of creams, the creation of emulsion-based creams requires the use of a whole complex of auxiliary substances that ensure the stability of the cream. Auxiliary substances show biological activity, which allows them to be included in some biochemical processes of skin structures, enhancing the cosmetic effectiveness of the active ingredients. At the same time, their influence is not always safe for our health and skin, so researching the ingredients of cosmetic products is an important task. A study of the components of emulsion cosmetic face creams of various brands was conducted: “Lancôme Hydra Zen Anti-Stress Moisturizing Cream”, “Biotherm Aquasource Gel”, “La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo (+) Acne Treatment Cream”. The main active ingredients were determined and their influence on the properties of cosmetic products was analyzed. It is shown that the studied creams do not contain components that can negatively affect the condition of the skin. It was established that the organoleptic parameters of the tested samples fully correspond to the regulatory documentation. The point evaluation of emulsion cosmetic creams for the face was carried out using the expert method. It was determined that the cream “Lancôme Hydra Zen Anti-Stress Moisturizing Cream” received the maximum number of points according to organoleptic indicators, but the emulsion cream “La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo (+) Acne Treatment Cream” was more effective in its effect.
