MECHANISMS FOR IMPROVING THE EFFICIENCY OF OPERATIONAL MANAGEMENT IN TRANSPORT

Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of mechanisms for improving the efficiency of operational management in transport under the conditions of digital transformation of the economy and increasing requirements for the quality of transport services. The relevance of the topic is determined by the need to ensure the uninterrupted functioning of transport systems, minimize time and resource costs, enhance the level of transportation safety, and adapt to fluctuating demand. The paper analyzes modern approaches to organizing operational management, including the application of intelligent transportation systems, automated dispatching centers, real-time monitoring technologies, and route optimization algorithms.
The role of information and analytical platforms, GPS monitoring systems, Internet of Things (IoT) technologies, and elements of artificial intelligence in managerial decision-making processes is examined. It is substantiated that the integration of digital tools into the structure of operational management makes it possible to reduce vehicle downtime, increase infrastructure capacity, decrease operating costs, and improve coordination among participants in the transportation process. Particular attention is paid to adaptive planning mechanisms, the centralization of management functions, and the enhancement of information interaction between dispatching services and carriers.As a result of the research, a set of organizational, technological, and managerial measures aimed at improving the efficiency of operational management of transport systems has been formulated.
The obtained conclusions can be used in developing strategies for the modernization of transport infrastructure and the implementation of modern digital solutions in the field of transport management.
